If you're in Melbourne or Mitchell Shire, you will have heard the advice from the Premier over the weekend for everyone to wear face masks in public, to reduce the community transmission of COVID-19 (coronavirus).
I have been reluctant to add masks to my store as I am not wanting to capitalise or profit from the pandemic, but I have also recognised that there is a need for masks, and I have a platform that can be used to help distribute and process transactions.
Frangipani Baby is partnering with a number of small (sole-operator) businesses to make masks, which will be sold at a not-for-profit price. I am paying fair rates for sewing and materials with a small margin to cover merchant (bank) fees and packaging costs. My aim is to free up more time for people to sew masks, rather than processing orders, taking payments and sending out parcels.
The first of our new partners is online now. You can see the full range of in-stock, ready to ship face masks from Sew Face by Lola here - https://www.frangipanibaby.com.au/collections/face-masks
There's now a link to Face Masks from the front page of the website. More masks will be added over the coming weeks.
