Masks are an extra precaution to protect against COVID-19 in areas with community transmission. Check your local state and territory advice about mask recommendations and requirements. If you are in a situation where physical distancing is difficult such as on public transport, masks can provide additional protection for you and the people you are in contact with.
In Victoria (effective 26 May 2021):
People aged 12 years old and over must wear a fitted face mask indoors and outdoors (except at private residences), unless an exception applies.
Face masks are strongly recommended:
Indoors in private residences (when you have visitors to your home under the permitted reasons, for example when receiving medical care)
Please follow guidelines for the safe removal of your mask after being around other people. Wash or sanitise your hands before and after removing the mask, and avoid touching your face.
Face masks are handmade locally by small/sole-trader businesses. Orders are sent with tracked shipping; free contactless pickup from Altona Meadows is also available.
